Milk Tea Cravings
I confess I am a Milk Tea addict. Believe me, I couldn’t let a day pass without having my milk tea fix. There is no doubt that Milk Tea is continuously gaining popularity to the Filipino taste, that is why Milk tea places continue to blossom in the Metro. I personally like Milk tea because it is a healthier alternative to coffee, not only because it is a source of caffeine but also it has antioxidants and it improves digestion (yes, goes out to all who suffer constipation!)
To those who are still new to this milk tea craze here is my Milk Tea picks you might wanna try.
1. Gong Cha Wintermelon Tea
This is my ultimate favorite! I have tried their Toffee Milk tea, Caramel Milk Tea, Chocolate Milk tea, Taro Milk tea, Matcha Milk tea, Ice Cream Milk tea, Gong Cha Milk Earl Grey tea and Gong Cha Milk Green Tea but I seriously go back and get my one true love! It has a natural sweetener which I think just fits my taste, at times I dont like to add some pearl or pudding, I just want my extra Gong Cha Milk cream! Perfect. Price range: 80-150php* (I visit Gong Cha in SM Megamall and Araneta Center)
2. Happy Lemon’s Cocoa Rock Salt and Cheese
I guess this is everyone’s favorite drink in their store! When I go to Happy Lemon I see everyone holding their Rock Salt and Cheese cup! This is my happy drink. :) Price 90-150php*. (Branches in Greenhills, Megamall, Eastwood and Trinoma)
3. Serenitea’s Okinawa Milk Tea
I like my Okinawa Milk tea with 0% sugar and grass jelly. You might also like to try their Hokkaido and Wintermelon tea. Price range 80-150php* (Branches in Eastwood, Banawe, Katipunan and Burgos Circle)
4. Cha Time’s Matcha Milk Tea with Red Beans
I have always like their Matcha Milk tea and I can’t explain why its so perfect with Red Beans, I have been ordering this drink ever since I’ve tried it. I also like their Taro Milk tea. :) Price range 90-150php* (Branches in Robinson’s Galleria, Gateway Mall and Greenhills Unimart)
5. Moonleaf’s Wintermelon Milk Tea
Moonleaf has been one of my favorite Milk Tea places during my review days, I must admit that their place is my favorite too, they have this Freedom Board that contains letters and random thoughts of random people! Well there are also a variety of Milk tea flavors to choose from but their Wintermelon is the best. You might also like Hakka Milk tea or Tiramisu Milk tea. I remember my friend Hannah who has been very peculiar of her choice of drinks and ended up giving it away! Haha. She tried the Oolong Milk Tea and the Peppermint Milk tea which she finds very odd to her taste.
6. MineShine milk tea
Milk tea happiness in just 40php! Whenever I want to have milk tea, I make sure to get mine in the nearest 7/11 store. It was September last year when I learned that they are selling this in 7/11 thanks to my friend Kristine. I’m sure that it will satisfy your milk tea cravings! Cheap is good! :)
*price depends on add-ons!
Well I do hope that this helped, or did I just make you crave more? Go Visit the nearest Milk tea place! Stay healthy, drink tea! xx
